Public History Graduate Student
Career
Scott spent fifteen years working in agriculture/dairy
production in various capacities including dairy herd
manager, dairy product manufacturing, and marketing.
As a result of a life-long interest/passion for American
history, Scott returned to Mississippi State University
in 2015 to complete his undergraduate degree in
history.
Scott also devotes volunteer time with USAID in on-
going international programs in northern Guatemala
related to Mayan decedent marginalized communities.
With my lifelong interest in agriculture and history, I
hope to pursue a position as a curator, site manger, or
cultural resources specialist in a museum or historic
site. As a Public History professional, I hope to combine
my background in agriculture and education in a way to
create unique and effective interpretation for visitors
at historic sites.
